HISTORY OF GLADSON
Gladson was established by Maureen O'Brien (nee Jackson) and Gladys Jackson (nee Livingstone). Continued by their family including Helen Jackson, Fred Jackson and Arthur Jackson. The Gladson name came from GLADys jackSON.

Maureen and Gladys spent many of their weekends entering dog shows and then eventually got into breeding.

Maureen started a family of her own with her husband Kevin. They had 9 children together.

This family lifestyle put a pause on the dog shows and breeding for Maureen.
In 2002, one of Maureen's son's Glenn O’Brien, revamped the Gladson name. Along with Maureen and Helen. The three owned the Gladson prefix.
Dog shows and breeding were a big part of their family.
Sadly, Maureen passed away in 2013, then Helen in 2014. These events were difficult for the family.
In 2020, Glenn decided to revamp the Gladson name once again with the assistance of Melissa Marden (nee O'Brien).
Both Glenn and Melissa appreciate the value of family and know how much love and joy a Cocker Spaniel can bring to a family. They are a great addition to any family.
